Biathlon Canada is the governing body for Biathlon. Each province administrates the program for there athletes under Biathlon Canada. Biathlon NB administrates the program in the province of New Brunswick. It consists of three groups in the province. The groups are located in Charlo
(Les Aventuries de Charlo), Miramichi (Miramichi Biathletes) and Oromocto (Oromocto Biathlon Club). Athletes from all over the province train with one of these groups. Within these groups there are three types of programs:
Training consists of running, roller skiing and air rifle in the spring and fall. Skiing and air rifles in the Winter. If consists of learning to ski and shoot leading up to the transition into the competitive group. Badges are usually given out when they pass various stages.
Training consists of running, roller skiing and shooting the 22 rifle. Skate skiing and shooting in the Winter.
